Myrna Norman

Myrna Norman currently resides in Maple Ridge, British Columbia, Canada and was diagnosed with Frontal Temporal Dementia in 2011. After her diagnosis, Myrna became an advocate for people with dementia and has since spoken for the Purple Angel Ambassadors and is on the leadership committee for Alzheimer’s Society of B.C. Myrna is also a member of the executive team for Dementia Advocacy Canada and recently attended the Dementia Strategy Conference in Ottawa. Myrna is inspired to educate others on how people with dementia can improve their quality of life and live well with dementia.

She joined the CCNA’s Engagement of People with Lived Experience of Dementia in June 2020. In her spare time, Myrna enjoys taking part in Art projects offered by UBC Researchers, writing poetry and listening to audio books.

Myrna’s research interests include, but are not limited to, educated early diagnoses and rehabilitation.
