Sam Hester
Sam Hester works as a graphic recorder in Calgary/Moh’kinsstsis, creating visual stories that draw upon deep listening skills, a passion for community-building… and a lot of markers. Sam works with health care organizations as a visual knowledge translator, and has contributed to academic research and patient advocacy work.
Sam is also an advocate for the graphic medicine movement, which aspires to make health care information more accessible through the use of visual storytelling tools like comics. Sam’s TED Talk about graphic medicine has been viewed almost two million times.
